You pass through the central, automatic gate and drive up to your villa, leaving your car at one of the six parking spaces right beside the house.

Approaching between rows of huge oleander bushes, you enter Villa Levanda through the massive front door, and find yourselves stunned by the unique view of the Ambracian Gulf and the Acarnanian Mountains behind.

Villa Levanda – a haven of well-being – extends over almost 1900 square feet of floor space, and comfortably sleeps eight people. The property belongs to a West-facing, 9-acre plot of land enclosed within circumferential fences on a hillside location with direct access to a private beach by the waterside.

The village of Sparto is situated at a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometres, and offers typically Greek shopping facilities. Located nine kilometres away, the next larger settlement is Amfilochia. This quintessential Greek town caters to your every need (health centre, doctors, taverns, supermarkets), and also has a small port where you can berth your boat. There is a big market here every Wednesday. The port in the city of Lefkada (approx. 50 kilometres) is home to a large number of sailing ships and yachts, which are available to rent.

The closest airport is Preveza, situated roughly 45 minutes away by car. It takes around 3 ½ hours to drive to Athens. There are ongoing roadworks to connect Amfilochia with the motorway: Construction is likely to be complete in 2017, cutting the driving time to under 3 hours. The ferry terminal in Igoumenitsa is approximately 2 hours away by car.

The villa consists of two houses, constructed in conventional style, and connected by a pergola. The lower section accommodates three guestrooms, and is used as sleeping quarters. Naturally, all of the rooms are fully furnished and come with en-suite bathrooms, TV and air conditioning. Guests will find a pantry with a refrigerator and coffee machine in the spacious lobby area.

There is also a housekeeping room, in which guests will discover all the items they may need for their stay.

The kitchen equipped with all mod cons is situated downstairs in the main house. The dining table seats eight persons and points westwards, providing a delightful view of the Gulf. The sound system and TV area is partitioned, and comes with a large flatscreen television. A complete guest shower with WC is also situated downstairs. A staircase leads to the upper floor, where there is another bedroom, also with a separate shower and WC. Naturally, this bedroom has air conditioning and television. But what makes it truly special is the incredible panoramic view from the 215-square-foot balcony located just outside the French windows.

A 1600-square-foot patio extends in front of the house. A pergola stretches across, offering welcome shade in some areas of the largely wooden patio. Directly adjacent there is a 4 x 10 - metre swimming pool with an outside shower facility off to one side. The pool was crafted in so-called infinitive blue style. The surface of the water and the overflow grille are on one level, allowing swimmers to marvel at the magnificent view and let their eyes drift across the Ambracian Gulf that would otherwise be hidden behind the edge. Broad steps, five–metres-wide, lead down from the centre of the patio, extending between the houses and taking guests to the level below. Here there is another patio with an outdoor bar, a large stone grill and a place for you and your guests to sit together. It is the ideal spot to linger over a refreshing drink and to enjoy the setting sun. 

Oleander and lavender bushes run all around the property. Indeed, the villa takes its name from the over 100 lavender bushes found here.

Georgios Antoniadis tends lovingly to the villa. He lives on the property the whole year round and speaks perfect German. He is happy to organise a maid service to clean and/or to cook.
